I purchased a sectional and ottoman from the Dump on Dec 5th I believe. I had it delivered on Dec. 11th. As soon as the delivery men left the house we noticed that the sectional was slumped in the middle. So my husband turned over the middle piece an one of the legs was broken and turned under on the inside of the couch. Not only was the leg broken but the particle board that connected to the leg was broken in half. And we also noticed there was multiple tearing in the fabric on that piece too. We immediately called the delivery men (who was just down the street) and told him of the problem. He said he would not pick it up and that we would have to call customer service.
So we {my husband and I} contacted customer service immediately. They said that they would have a repair technician call us on Dec 14th to schedule a time to come out and look at it. The problem was that we paid for a brand new sectional not a broken one. They said that the 15% would be deducted from our total payment if we wanted to return it. How can that be? I was livid at this point. They said that the earliest appointment they had for a repair technician to look at it was not till Jan 2010, and if we waited that long it would void our 7 day ability to have any sort of return with it. So that’s where they get you. They make you wait around to the point where you are stuck with it no matter what. They wouldn’t even send out a new sectional to replace the broken one. No one should be stuck with a broken piece of furniture they paid full price for.
So I decided to go ahead with the return for now. And I planned on filing a credit card dispute with my credit card company as soon as I received my money back (minus my 15% restocking fee). I was not going to settle being out of the 15% plus the $179 for another delivery pick up charge. Not only was I getting 15% deducted but I also had to pay $179 for them to pic... Read More
I have been on two cruises in the last 4 years on Carvinal. And both were terrible. The first one was on the "Holiday" we left out of New Orleans and were supposed to go to Cozumel. The first night the ship lost power and we ran ashore. The next morning the captain came on the speaker and said that the ship wasn't "sea-worthy" enough to head out to open waters, so he re-routed us to Key West. Very disapointing. Upon arriving in Key West we were only given two hours off the ship. Not enough time to do anything. The next morning we woke up to crashing waves on the deck, and a sideways ship. Apparently we were going through "Gail Force Winds" and were told to stay in our rooms. The ship was literally on it's side. The staff was running around with their life vests on! Luckily we all made it back to port alive. Their reimbursement for all the complications was $100. WOW! Now the second cruise... I don't remember the name of the ship, but we went out of Miami and were headed to Jamaica and the Grand Caymens. We arrived at the port to board and were told that we were not able to board yet, because their were a group of sick passengers. Something about food poising??? So we boarded five hours late. Well the first morning we woke up and the ship was stopped (not normal) and my first thought was oh no not again... sure enough... This time a girl had jumped overboard the night before. Something about a fight with her boyfriend! So we were told to stay in our rooms all morning so they could investigate. 13 hours later still stopped but out of our rooms they found the girl treading water with out a life jacket. Because of this girl we didn't have "enough" time to stop in Jamaica! Other than these incidents... the food sucks, the pool is hardly ever full of water, the two hot tubs are over crowded, and the shows suck! So basically if your going on a Carnival Cruise good luck, because you'll be lucky to make it home alive.
Prices are very reasonable, but the selection of products is not that great. They don't have a lot of different choices for say cereal brands or Juices. But if you are looking for standard products you can probably find them or something comparable. They have a great frozen food section and bakery. They also sale electronics and clothing at great prices. Remember everything is wholesale so the size of the packages of food and toiletries is always family sized. Their return policy is great.
I have purchased one vehicle from Carmax, and sold two cars to them. Both of my experiences were very good there. The employees are very informative and eager to answer questions. The no haggle prices make it as stress free as it can be. The process is relatively fast compared to other dealerships because you don't have to go back and fourth about the price or trade-in value. Their inventory is also very big. They have just about any car on the lot. Or you can go online and see their entire stock before you go to the lot. But beware of going on a Saturday, it will be very crowded!
As far as the clothing goes... it's cheaply made and not worth even the small amount of money it costs. The shoes are pretty good... you can usually find some name brand shoes at a good price. The home decor is pretty good too. I bought a bedding set their and it was good quality. The baby depot is basically just the baby section of the store. They have tons of baby accessories such as strollers, swings, car seats, bottles, and furniture etc. and a big selection of baby clothes. You can also register for baby items in store. You can also find some good coupons in the newspaper or in the mail if you are on their mailing list. Their return policy is also a lot better now. They used to only accept exchanges but now they do actual returns.
This store used to be a lot better than it is now. They shouldn't say they have closeout prices when they are no cheaper than Walmart or your local grocery store. Their products are pretty cheap and not good quality at all. Their furniture is way over priced you might as well go to an actual quality furniture store and spend the same amount of money on a better quality product! I will no longer step foot into this store. And it's never organized there is junk everywhere and it's usually pretty dirty looking.
They have just about everything you could think of consumer electronic wise. Their prices are pretty reasonable, and they have a good credit card plan if your making a large purchase. But beware their computer system is too complicated for even the store workers to understand. They couldn't even figure out their own system when we were returning a set of appliances. It took many trips up their and talking to many people to have it all figured out.
Great place to register for your wedding! They have a large selection of bedding, bath decor, kitchen accessories, and just about anything else you need for your house. Their prices are very reasonable and their merchandise is good quality. They have free gift wrapping and a great return policy! And every month they have coupons for either one item at 20% off or whole purchase at 20% off. I think if you sign up on their mailing list online than they will send you one in the mail every month.
So when did Target become an upscale discount store? If you can even call it a discount store anymore. I have found that just about everything in that store is way over priced. And the furniture they have... I could spend more there on furniture store than I could at say Rooms To Go. The only time I ever go in this store anymore is when I am buying a gift for someone off a registery. And I hate to do that, because if they want to return the item their in for a tough time. Target has the worst return policy I have ever seen! And you only get to returns per year if you don't have a reciept even if the tags and packaging is perfect.
Prices are reasonable. They have a HUGE selection of all types of items such as womens clothing, juniors, petites, maternity, children's, young mens, mens, furniture, bedding & bath, Kitchen, Fragrances, beauty, purses, and shoes. A lot of the brands are well know. They also have a great bathing suit selection!
